Ettiquette when a neighbor invites you to something
If you don't know or associate with the neighbors other than in passing and you get an invitation like this one, I think it is more of an "Hey we are going to have a party this date/time, wanna come?" and by "wanna come" you really mean "we just want to let you know it may get loud and we really don't want you to come". At least this was always my understanding. Unless of course it is designated as a block party but typically those are organized by more than one residence.
