Keith is right about how third party funding works. Keith you can stop reading now. An explanation of how the funding works follows.

For getting public funding it is broken down into "major" and "minor" parties.
Major parties get 20$ million, plus cost of living adjustment for the year,
Minor parties get a portion of 20$ million depending on their preceding presidential vote amounts.

Minor parties are defined as parties that got between 5-25% of the popular vote in the previous election. So if Ralph Nader gets 4% of the vote, his party will get NO money for the next election. If he gets between 5-25% of the vote, he gets a partial amount of the 20$ million based on the ratio of votes they got compared to the major parties.

There are additional rules and conditions that the candidates must meet to get public funding, but Keith is correct that if a third party gets more percentage of the vote this year, they get more money for next election season.

Reason Magazine

Reason is a great magazine.I highly recommend checking it out online and reading Pete Bagge's comics too, while visiting.

Dina's Life

There is a great situation comedy just begging to be made...Dina's Life.
I have never seen anything on TV as hilarious as the mental image I got of Dina taking out her garbage and being attacked with a pocketbook by a deranged neighbor. Then the police show up and she gets detained while her cell phone goes off in the cruiser back seat and it's Keith calling her....you couldn't make this stuff up. Dina is a prize, one of the best additions to the KATG lineup.

Baked Alaska is a dessert consisting of ice cream and cake, covered with a whipped egg-white outer layer. The whole thing is then baked, but the eggs insulate the ice cream.

Never had it.
