You can wash your keyboard in dishwasher, I've done it with mine a couple of times. I put bit of plastic around USB part so didn't get wet. Don't use the heated cycle on dishwasher, lowest setting will usually do it. After it goes through you can take buttons off, lean it vertically against something and leave it to dry. Takes about 3 days tho... who has the patience for that shit. (I did it before I left for weekend)

If that seems like too much work, maybe invest in one of these keyboard napkins to put on before you jerk it:

I have crocs. They're my outdoor shoes. They're like walking on marshmallows. I can tromp tromp through woods; splash through the creek; get them as dirty, muddy, and nasty as I want. Just spray them off with the hose and they're good to go again. They don't smell or grow fungus.

Would I wear them in public? No.
