Ha! I've walked past that hair salon many times Patrice and I have never gone in.
I'm black and I either go to the Africans to get my hair braided or to the Dominicans for perms...Black salons hate doing black hair unless they need to do weaves.

Patrice is, by far, my favorite guest.

Thursdays are the only day I can gay it up with it seeming gay at all. You know, because it's coming from Keith and the Girl.

I've gone back to the beginning and am listening all KATG episodes. Coincidently, I was on episode 150: Gay Nigga. Patrice was talking about how when she thinks "the N-Word" she means it.

It made me laugh so hard imaging her jumping out of the chair and "catching the G and letting the ER go."

i have curly hair too and people really don't know how to cut it. I once had a hairstylist ask if I wanted my hair straightened or curly after she cut it. I told her curly, thinking she'd use a diffuser and I could see how she used it and pick up some tips. She then proceeded to take out washcloths and scrunch my hair with the washcloth, saying that that was how they used to to do it way back when. When I explained to her it is now modern times and she could use the diffuser, she had no idea what a diffuser was.

Hairstylists suck. I think I've maybe left the salon twice without immediately throwing my hair in a ponytail or going home and immediately washing it.

For years I felt the same way about hair stylist...then I moved and found the most amazing stylist ever. I freaking love her, I just hope she doesnt figure out how amazing she is and leave for some posh place I can never afford.
