Does spooky really think that people would really treat him the same way they treated Mark "8 writers" Yoshimoto? That said, I do understand him wanting to keep his professional life separate from the internet.

Also it was Matt B. AND Chemda who believed the Harry Pooter thing was real when Keith said he saw it in the trailer.

Er.. I could very possibly be wrong here. Maybe different circumstances, blah blah, but when Spooky mentioned the word .jpeg, talking about the Phelps thing, it got me thinking.

When I worked at a Ritz Camera, a cop came into the store looking for a particular point-and-shoot camera, because it shot RAW pictures. For those of you that don't know, a RAW file can't be altered in any way. (that's loosely what it is, fuck me for not being a dictionary, and fuck you if i'm wrong. defensive much?)

He needed that particular camera, because he told me that .jpegs and all other photo formats aren't admissible in court, because they can be altered. Only film and RAW, if it's going to be digital at all.

Anyone out there know if there's any truth to that? It makes sense, because a wife can photoshop some bruises on her and submit those, or a guy can photoshop a picture of a car to make damage look much more/less, etc etc. Why couldn't Phelps say "Na. It was photoshopped. Wasn't me." or something like that?

RAW files can be altered, so fuck me, but RAW files are the 'raw' data that comes off the camera's sensor, instead of it being compressed into JPG or TIFF or whatever. If it's kept as a RAW file without it being processed, I'd imagine it would be just the same as a film photo.

Marriage and government and religion

In England at least, marriage was all common-law (the only requirements being two witnesses, vows be exchanged, and for the couple to be of legal age; they could anywhere at any time) until the government and the church both began regulating marriage beginning with the Marriage Act of 1753.

I love you Spooky but it's fucking creepy to think of all the inseminated women spawning an army of Kermity Ray Romano sounding babies...

Creepy and loud.

I remember hearing something about that too, because nearly all pictures today can be altered somehow. Even when I took a B&W photography class where we had to develop our own pics in the photo labs, we knew how to alter those, either with lenses or lighting. Not dramatically, but to the point where two people could be in the same pic who were not really there, or blur out something that existed. But anyway, the RAW camera thing I have heard of. But Phelps is an idiot. There's no excuse to that.
