When I came here last year for April 15th, I didn't want to leave. And someone said, whatever your first impression of New York is, is how it probably will be (i.e. you love it and you keep loving it, or vice versa.) All of the things that I hate about New York, I also love (except indians and russians. nothing to love there. die die die.) The rudeness: it sucks when it's towards me, but it's awesome to see it directed at someone else, or when I'm able to use it back at someone. That's... probably all I hate about this city. Bring on the tagging, bring on the yelling, bring on the ignorance (so I can feel better about myself.) People keep asking me if I plan on moving from here, and honestly... I don't think so. I've done enough traveling in 23 years. It's time for me to toughen up, learn to hussle. If young naive Keith Malley can do it, I know I can.

I always felt as if I would love NYC, and when I first visited back in May 08 the city was much different from what I expected, yet I still fell deeply in love with it, and I don't think I can ever fall out.
I don't mind the dirtyness and I've not yet been subjected to the rudeness. On the contrary, when we, my parents and I, were looking on our subway maps to see where to go, people that were going into the subway stations stopped and asked if they could help us. Now I know that real day to day live might bring ruder people but I won't be bothered by that. And the tags? Dude who gives a shit about the tags when there is the most amazing street art to be found in NYC. Just google Poster Boy or Aakash Nihalani, just to name two examples I recently discovered. I can go on writing down examples about why I love New York but it's pointless cause as I've heard many people say, and as I've seen myself: It's either love at first sight or it's one of those bitches you just wanna slap in the face. It did take a whole year for that blowup to brew. My next one isn't scheduled until I visit China with my friend Peng Li, when I'll avert my eyes for a second and lose him forever in a sea of chinamen. Then I'll spend 8 months living in a tiny room with 12 other people. And then I'm gonna get upset.

Oh, gee! I don't normally check here on weekends 'cuz I don't listen 'til tomorrow, avoiding spoilers and such, but if it's anything like the rant on Ham Radio, it'll be a good one, McNally. And if you wanna come to Ontario, I'm sure I'll be able to set something up here for ya!
Although I kinda get the feeling your thoughts on London are only slightly higher than NYC haha. |

I agree with sajizzle's point as well, Matt was extremely loud and obnoxious, more so than usual. And yes, yes I know, the show is always loud, that's the point, blah blah blah. And yes, it's true that I am not Matt B's biggest fan, but he was particularly unbearable this episode. He kept shouting and at one point he got just plain insulting. He always refuses to see other peoples' points and has to prove himself as all-knowing. Even on the rare occasion I agree with Matt's points, I still find him grating. I'm always tempted to skip the episodes that Matt is on, but I don't because I still enjoy Keith and Chemda. I really wish that they wouldn't have him on anymore, but I know that they will because he is their friend. I really wish I could see whatever they see in him so that I, too, can enjoy his presence on the show. However, there is so much of him to see, I don't think I could cover it all.
