Yeah as far as I know he couldn't take money for it and all of his money comes from his tours...But I never did read exactly what I was paying for when I bought feed the animals, all I cared about it I was getting the album

On the whole "Love or hate the city at first sight" thing....
I've gotta disagree. Being from Jersey, I've spent a lot of time throughout my life in the city. When I was younger I always thought that I would move there and love it. Now that I'm older, there's no way I can see myself living there and enjoying it. I feel like I'm too set in my ways at this point...if you're not raised there or living there before a certain point in your life, I imagine it's a difficult change of pace. I think if I tried it, I'd be much like McNally and annoyed by just about everything. After 4 days, when I've gone to the places I like and seen the people I want to visit with, I'm done. I want to get back to my normal life, and not be surrounded by people at all times.

Potatoe posted some NY graffiti in the shownotes -- If this is the place I'm thinking of (building near PS1 on the 7 train), I always really liked it. Aspire to this, NY. This building looks cool. |

I liked Matt on this show, and he was right(even though I don't usually agree with him). Any melody you come up with will sound like something someone else did. Like he said though, that's just one part of the song 10 seconds long. Listen to the whole thing and they are completely different songs. I doubt most of you had never even heard a Joe Satriani song before this.
Anybody remember Brolo saying he took a drum beat from a Kiss song? Does that mean he ripped them off? Of course not, it was like 3 beats. Why is that different? As for the Nazis vs Arab extremists, I think they are all killers and scum. I voted for Arab extremists though because of the way they kill. Strapping bombs on women to walk into a crowded area full of innocent people is a cowards way. The Nazis may have been evil, but at least you could see them coming.

I gotta go with Matt on the Coldplay/Satriani song. They share three notes, in order. Listening to this show, I noticed that the Coldplay song uses a minor chord where Satriani did not. I agree. Coincidence.
C'mon, why the fuck would they either want to or need to copy three notes from someone else's song? Are they out of original material? Now they turn to IP theft because they are out of money and desparate? Not buying it. This lawsuit will be settled out of court or be rejected. Not that Matt didn't go a bit berserk in there......
