Listening to Merit makes me mad at Chemda. I want to hear her singing.

Regarding the Poll, when I found out that Jonathan Coulton wrote the song from Portal I immediately went to his site and paid the $8o for everything he had done up to that point.

Chemda's voice made me like some types of music, i don't usually listen to.

I just dl'd the Merit album and donated $10. Now I hope McNally does not think I am extending the pretend recession.

Great singer

Any chance she'll do an acoustic album? She has a great voice.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck Yooooooooooooooou and welcome to the forums.

I agree - the album is great but hearing the songs so stripped back really shows how great a voice she has.

Alot of bands like this just focus on the vocals and the rest of the music is stock bullshit studio producer catchy garbage.

Thats why I fell in love with merit the second I heard them play on the show today. The vocals are great but for me its the guitars and drums that really sells this band.

Awesome show!

But Keith missed an opportunity to ask them where they side on "Coldplay Vs. Joe Satriani"

Im kind of sick of the topic, but wonder what a full time up and coming band thinks. What would they think if a Coldplay hit single had a chorus that sounded exactly like one of their own.

When Radiohead released their CD "In Rainbows" for a name-your-own price (basically free), I went and paid like $15 for the online version, and then even went out and bought a hard copy. So yes... I do support artists who provide free downloads.
