The Pam scene was staged.
The scenes with Luenell playing the big black prostitute were staged.
The chicken in subway was real and the rest too, including the freaky cut scene that made it only on the dvd extras, where borat tries to get a doggie from a puppy mill to eat it or "perform exorcism with it". A masterpiece.

Others attribute this to Dean Martin. But it has a slight whiff of 'script writer' about it. Maybe we'll never know.

Was that maybe #873? Where the 'Friends of Bill [Wilson]' turn up? Another of the great JJ's episodes.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't AA routed in christianity? Isn't there a prayer about having the lord giving me the strength to do what I can and cannot do or something like that?

I would probably reject it, or at least not take it as seriously if there was god mumbojumbo thrown around. I can see the same for Keith.

I found some random dude in AA's notebook on the street. In it he detailed every person he'd ever screwed over and what he did to them, going as far back as making fun of some kid in elementary school up to and including recently stealing from his gf. It was an incredible read, he was a real a-hole!

I realized as I was reading it that if I ever went to AA I'd have to have that on my list. Oh well, totally worth it.

To be fair, I did try to get it back to him, but he must have been on some bender because he never responded.

I was a part of the OTHER fellowship (NA) and I have to say that we have the same 12 steps and guidelines as AA. Except that we say MOOD OR MIND ALTERING SUBSTANCES instead of just concentrating on ALCOHOL.

I got clean in 12/90. We in both fellowships pray to a HIGHER POWER as rule/suggestion. Whatever you refer to your higher power as is your own business. BUT lots of people in recovery find Jesus and become reborn Christians -- that was a big thing in NA meetings. Lots of reborn were attending the meetings I was going to. We had to specifically tell them not to say the Lords Prayer at the end of meetings -- we actually had a policy that a speaker must say the Serenity prayer at the end of meetings.

I am not sober anymore -- I am still clean though. I totally relate to the whole pop tart/drinking thing. I never have to tell myself that I will only drink water on the weekends which I have to remind myself of sometimes about beer.

I think an addictive personality is just that - AN ADDICTIVE personality. You can get easily addictive to anything including shopping, drinking, drugging, the Internet, porn or whatever.

Keith. If one thing made me happy in this show it was the fact that you LOOOOOOOVVVVVVEDDDDDD the White Album.

I was afraid you would find it superfluous, overrated, and a jumble of catchy pop choruses.

But you didn't. All is well
Smoke some dro and take another listen.
fabbity fab.

Keith should have taken Micah's hint and gone to bed. He and Chemda would have received the best tongue based foot rub ever. Or so I posit.

I think the only reason nothing happened (that is, tongue based foot rubs) is because Keith wasn't there.

Also, I don't think Keith is a hermit. He does not avoid people, he expects them to come to him. He is a Shao lin master. He should avoid closets in Bangkok.

But then, I would expect he would.

Point is, this was a really good show.
