Chemda, if she didn't want to enable this, would have to quit the show to show she is serious and go back to clowning and/or ask him to leave until he cleans up. The only way to show she is serious is to make it hard for him to do the show. But none of this will happen because that is no fun. |

I can understand that Chemda is concerned, but talking to Keith really isn't going to help.
It's been a loooong time since Keeping it real, and Keith is still drinking. Keith has to want to stop drinking, and, sadly, there is no way to make him want to. |

I can't say for certain if Keith's an alcoholic--I don't know the guy in real life and all--but from what I've heard from both of you, I don't think Chemda would bring it up for shits and giggles. She does seem genuinely worried about Keith's health and well-being.
The closest suggestion I can think of is to bet/challenge him to go for a specific period of time without drinking. It'll probably feel like hell for a bit--drinking regularly is pretty much repeatedly punching your liver with alcohol--but see how he is sober after the withdrawal, and honestly see if he feels sober. As for Dylan, I dunno, it doesn't really sound like he mumbles to me. He sounds pretty clear in Desolation Row, for example: Of course, that's not all of Dylan, I'll keep listening. Quote:

I hate semi-interventions right before July 4th and mid-football season. I think the Monday after the Super Bowl should be intervention day. If I've got a chance at taking a break, it's in that time window.

I admit it. I'm an alcoholic. Why should that mean I have to stop drinking? So long as I am not drinking so much that I can't do my job, and I am able to recognize on my own when I need to slow down for a bit, I'm all good.
SO, in solidarity and brotherhood, I'll join Keith and write down all the alcohol I consume in the month. So to start, last night I had 14oz of beer (Port Brewing Shark Attack). First night since Thursday that I've only had one beer. |

Yikes! I just think it's a hard situation to comment on. Chemda thinks that Keith has a problem but i think the fact that Keith can stop and take a break means that it isn't really a problem just something he does. He drinks a lot. The End. And when he said he would take a break from the P!S!P! I think he was just saying that drinking and staying up so late-so often-was making him feel like shit.
But the thing is is that Chemda and Keith are in a relationship and if she is actually scared to the point where she can no longer accept Keith's drinking for what it is and thinks she should throw out the Kegerator then she is serious-and she and Keith need to have a serious discussion about what that means in the long run. I could tell by their discussion that Keith just taking a break is not enough for Chemda.
