Well, that Quicktime Alternative thing doesn't work. Only does audio. Still haven't watched it because I can't convert it. -disappointing-
I hate Apple.

I just converted it to DVD and watched it on the 51" TV. It was a tad pixelated, but not enough to make me want to shut it off. Try it out. If you want a conversion that doesn't take so long try converting to XviD. Easy to do and you can watch it on your DVD player as long as it supports XviD/DivX.

Just a question:

Did you download Just the audio version?

There was more than one choice.

no, in their wisdom winamp decided that mp4's should be audio only, none of the fixes sugested on the winamp forum worked for me.

the only solution is to use real player, VLC or the dreaded iTunes. (Actualy firefox managed to play it as well, not sure if thats due to the VLC plug in or not though.)

so could next one be a XviD/DivX like the TV shows you can DL on bittorrent, they play in winamp fine. I could even play it straight in my dvd player then... (do XviD/DivX work for macs?)

No I got the video.
After downloading at least 8 other programs that said they would do the conversion. Alive MP4 Converter and a keygen crack finally got it. (Anyone else still looking to convert PM me and I'll give you the details.)
Will finally be watching it on my PDA at lunch today.

EVERYTHING works on a Mac
VLC will play just about anything in my experience.

Oh baby, cut my chicken, cut my chicken, ohhhhh yeah.

"Cut your chicken? Oh sure. No problem sweety."

But bear in mind you should learn, when you get some real money, what it is the help does, and does not, like or do. Private help WILL learn what you personally do need and like. They can and often will take pride in this.

Public help, in contrast, expect to do for you what they do for thousands and thousands of other people, which is not cut your chicken. They pride themselves on being quick and accurate and cordial, not a servant to your whims. You can ask them to do other extra things for you, but in so doing you make yourself an obnoxious ass. And Keith is doing you a favor by pointing it out. Having an ass in the group makes normal, decent, gracious people lose face.

Exceptions to this are small places that you frequent on a regular basis. You may, AFTER demonstrating your largess, ask for small favors without making yourself into an ass.

I think Keith is correct about restaurant etiquiette
