As someone that grew up in the south and now live in the north, for all those northerners that don't understand why the state shuts down when it snows and we don't have salt, ask them why all the houses in the north don't have A/C. Almost always the answer will be something like "eh, it's too expensive and it's only hot for like a month."

There you go. Why have salt for the roads when it might snow once a winter? Plus just TAKE THE DAMN DAY OFF.

I understand why the south shuts down when it snows - they are just not prepared for that. We in the north don't have a tornado plan for a similar reason, that type of weather is an anomaly and not the norm.

Sharing toothbrushes is a no. Kissing doesn't put all the plaque particles in my mouth, I'm not licking and scrubbing teeth with my tongue. My toothbrush is my own, can I have one fucking thing in my goddamn life I'm not expected to share with anyone else?

Whenever I leave the north, like when I'm travelling through the midwest, they always ask me to repeat how I saw coffee for their other restaurant co-workers when I'm dining out "oh bless your heart" PLEASE JUST CAWFEE NOW PLEASE!

Nobody really cleans a toothbrush properly, we just rinse it off. Plus, they're meant to kill off plaque (lots of bacteria), some people have bleeding gums or a lingering cold sore virus, etc. so I don't see it as the same as kissing if everyone has relatively decent hygiene before they're intimate.

I also see it as a privacy and personal space thing. I've had partners not understand why I didn't want to share everything, including bathroom time. Just because you're sharing a life together doesn't mean you need to share germs all day, every day. Some things can just be yours.

I'm pretty sure Karen uses mine from time to time. It doesn't really bother me. I mean I guess worse case scenario is that they aren't using ANYONE's toothbrush right?

I destroy mine much faster than Mr Apia, you could also say I brush more.

We argue.
There are some themes in our life we fight about.
The most common one:

I am a person with lots of initiative. Mr Apia is a chill person who can just be.
Problem:
I see things that need to be done, changed, discussed and he would much rather play guitar. That’s cool but I tend to do way too much and be responsible for too much. And I get mad.

I like cold weather, I was born in Eastern Europe where the Winters are really cold. I would take a nice cold winter day over a hot summer day 100% of the time. My body is also made for the cold, as long it’s dry, I’m fine.
