When in the before Covid times we could visit the US there were lots of things i found insane but thought it’s just a different culture.
Relax Apia.

But I admit, NY was the least insane place and made the most sense.

Please. You’d complain cause it’s too awesome. Nice try.

I’m comparing to compare. It’s a natural thing and if I’m going to be traveling I have to notice what to expect.
I’m not complaining about deliveries. I’m letting you know my experience.
I AM saying it’s pretty funny to run out of what you sell a couple hours after you open.

I know, I know.
It’s still funny to me.
Maybe because it shows how perspective forms us. I was raised in a poor Eastern European country when you couldn’t buy most stuff at all and going to a store you expected to not get most things you wanted.
That’s not good! I don’t want to relive it!
But I remember.

Spain was for us in Poland a country of the magical west where you could get a lot of stuff. A Western European paradise.

I totally get that vacay vibe though. Either "eh this is good" or "I will move here and start a whole new life." There's no inbetween.

I remember saying to Mr. Bootie when we went to Chicago "I'm having a good time, but you know that feeling you get when you go to a new place and start to reimagine a whole new live in that city? I definitely do not have that here."

Whenever he goes travelling out of town, like Karen, I don't cook either. It's all freezer food from Trader Joe's because I am le lazy.

Apia wait in line all day for one potato. Then it's Apia's turn and NO MORE POTATO. A Sad Day for a Polish girl.
