I got that you didn’t understand why we were poking fun when they seemed happy and not codependent. Am I wrong that you were confused by that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's not quite as off-putting as the dog-man guest and his husband but still odd. I was entertained by the story and learned about a whole subculture. My tone was probably off. |

I rarely feel like you’re entertained by our responses to things. That’s a big part of what I was saying in this episode. I think it’s perfectly possible to sit in the audience with arms folded and not laugh even though it’s a comedy show and still have had a good time. But I also understand what that would feel like to the performer if they can see you during their show. So if you’re always “sitting with crossed arms at a show” you might have to supplement your response by other means of expression if you’re interested in people getting to know you a little more. Bianca's story of her accident and the umbrella definitely sounds like shock. It's so cool the things that your mind and body do to stop you completely crashing and freaking the fuck out.
