I felt for Andrea during that "Thirst Trap" convo. Being the only millenial can be exhausting. [emoji1]

It’s the other way around. You’ve been TRAPPED!

Your way makes sense but get with the times old lady cause it’s so not that.

The term seems "funny" because it's been redefined. It was first coined by men who'd leave particularly graphic comments on Instagram. They'd be called out on it and then complain:

"You females just post thirst traps! You purposefully put up a pic of yourself in a bikini, knowing I'd comment in gross, explicit detail how I want to put my dick inside you, just so you could turn around and publicly shame me!"

Mocking them, people began using the term ironically and eventually "thirst trap" evolved from a hostile accusation to a tongue-in-cheek synonym for "fishing for compliments".

I get why Keith was confused about thirst traps. If you post on Instagram and someone comments on it, then they're creepy even though that's what you wanted. It's very different on Reddit, where there are specific subs to post your thirst trap pictures to. Everyone is openly perverted and it's great.
