Came here for some much expected Bryan McKenna tea, got ALL THE DRAMA from a very unexpected guest and from the forums.
This show makes me all kinds of excited down south. Last edited by ThumbnailTwo; 09-16-2019 at 09:37 AM. |

Could have listened to 8+ hours of you three recapping, etc.!
Chemda brought up a great point that I often bring into discussions about "cancel culture;" the prevalence of insanity and depravity among artists. It takes a unique mind to create the things we love, and that often comes with some not-so-great traits. The public nature of putting art out into the world also exposes artists in ways that people in other professions aren't. We're in a really interesting and important time when ethics are beginning to overshadow the excuse of "talent." I've had people argue while discussing Louie CK, etc., "OH, should we just pull all the Picassos out of museums because he was a womanizer!?" I personally don't think so, but these things should be noted in context (Van Gogh is a great example, with his psycho ear painting), and there is a major difference in separating the art from the artist when they are contemporary. We can't hold Van Gogh accountable anymore, but we can hit Louis' wallet. Yet, I'm conflicted, because where do we fall about someone who just recently passed? I don't want to celebrate Michael Jackson, but so many of his songs are tied to formative memories for me. I don't have the answers, haha. |

A new life plan for Bianca - musical theater lyricist. That was impressive.
Michael Jackson did it. Thank you to Chemda for thinking the best about people. Not trying to be a trickster - I can see a situation where rumors are swirling and you're trying to clarify which ones the accuser believes happened so you ask her about the bathroom thing. Which she didn't remember. Regarding Woody, I just have an issue with the fact that people can listen to you talking about this for a decade without knowing that he was investigated and cleared at the time it was first reported and that one of the three siblings in the house at the time has written convincingly in support of his father. No links this time - thanks, Bianca. |
