Corona Virus update from Atlanta: live events have bottomed out. for Bear and me this means he has a couple of weeks off work until the powers that be decide whether or not to shut the doors to his venue further into the summer. he’s salaried so for the moment we’re gonna be fine. summer is the slow season for indoor places anyway. for his crew— security teams, stage hands, lighting and sound techs, front of house staff— everyone is out of work and a little fucked. all festival staff are fucked; musicians, producers, equipment companies, stage fabricators, techs. Bear’s getting a lot of calls from people looking for work and offers to buy weed bc everybody is back to selling.

Live is here on hold. I'm glad we live in nice place because that's where we will be for the next weeks.
Everything ist canceled.
Schools, my work, daycare, every kind of event.

Glad we have the beautyful nature and some supermarkets here. And internet.

Of course I'm afraid what's with my work but I guess big pharma is a good place to be on the payroll during a pandemic outbreak.

I feel super healthy as for now. Last week I was so annoyed that I wanted to stay at home but I felt too good. I am not capable of lying.

I have a part time job as a graphic designer that I can work remotely, but my bread and butter comes from the restaurant biz which shows no sign of letting us stay home. I'm also in school and my classes are going to be online for the rest of the semester. I'm currently on spring break and I have 3 days off from both jobs and my B and I have decided to self-quarantine since I've prob been (or will be) exposed because I've been at the restaurant all weekend. It was busy too. People here are either completely unaware or completely unafraid. Either way, the most important people in my life are elderly and I'm not gonna pass this shit on when I just read that in Italy, people over 80 are being left to die.

The sky is falling y'all. Lucky for me, I've got Netflix, food, and a man to play with. I'll be fine indoors for a few days. Stay safe everybody.

I hope Bianca is able to isolate, I’d hate for her to get sick. Well sick with this, I gained hearing she was sick before too. You know and when he apartment building caught fire that sucked... now I’m thinking Bianca and Chemda are kindred spirits and not in a good way. I feel I have to say KaTG helps keep my stress levels down. But hearing that anyone from the show was harmed would be heartbreaking.

Brutal honesty would be simply we all will be affected by COVID-19 and most of us directly in some way. It’s scary. I hope you all can stay safe.

I have a theory on why it's so...offputting when Chemda says stuff like "poon". I think it has to do with her internalized misogyny. She was raised that a girl should be lady-like and should not want or enjoy sex. A girl should be innocent and nice. A girl should not talk about sex or seek out sex. Chemda was raised so that she has a voice telling her these things constantly.

Luckily for her and us, Chemda is very open about sex. Just like Keith and Andrea. Unlike Keith and Andrea, Chemda still has a subconscious voice telling her it's wrong to be sexual. So when she talks about sex she's also talking against that voice. She has to prove to the voice that it's okay to be sexual but the voice makes her feel uncertain. I think that's what we're hearing: the subconscious need to prove that it's okay to be sexual, and uncertainty.

Andrea and Keith have nothing to prove. They subconsciously believe that it's okay to be sexual. That's why it sounds more natural when they talk about sex. When Chemda talks about sex it sounds like my mom trying to be cool and not quite pulling it off. When Chemda says stuff like "poon" Andrea and Keith's reactions are like: "aww Mom, that's embarassing!".

Side note: I think Billy has a lot to prove also and that's why his brand of sexuality seems distorted or "wrong" somehow.
