The listener who keeps track of the dates inspired me. I looked up Somerset, PA population on Wiki throughout the years just to see how off he was about the peak population period was:

I was blown away by Ken's response to the Cake story. It touched on so many good points as it called out the Dad. I think he effectively denied the Dad from feeling superior and clever.

“And the head waiter came to us and said ‘Mr. Prof. Malley. You know you’ve always been our favorite customer and you designed our entire menu. But, and we all apologize, this is simply too much.’”

The Cake story is the strangest story we've heard Father Malley tell. I had to keep rewinding to make sure I understood...and I never did! That story is completely unhinged from reality.

Also, is "growing-up years" an American phrase or a Mike Malley-ism? I guess why say one word (childhood???) when you can say three and use one of those long flat commas, uhh I mean hyphen.
