grew up in a foot washing Baptist church. on those Sundays that we did the thing, the church filled with the warm, slightly moist smell of old lady summer pantyhose feet. spent a lot of time sprinting out of the sanctuary, NOT MAKING EYE CONTACT WITH ANYONE, to play outside. then you get too old to play, so you hide in the bathroom.

also, everybody cried and embraced after; men and women alike. the bar would have been high for you kids to try and perform that little ritual.

I just laughed like a maniac with earbuds in while my bf who sits 3 feet away from me and looked at me like I'm insane...

Keith I had the exactly same dream about school multiple times. Always in stressful times.

This show is golden. I didn't know how much I needed two versions of Keith talking to each other. Ken's voice and accent sound kind of like Keith in the early days of the show and it's weirdly nostalgic.

Couldn’t tell if Ken was being sarcastic or not but I would be interested to hear what happy memories from your childhood involving your dad were. Because it seems like he always had an agenda to benefit him somehow at the expense of his children. He doesn’t seem to like his kids to be happy. He can’t even celebrate their accomplishments without some kind of put down/drama/ taking credit for it.

I can’t wait to hear what happens with these emails and voicemails.

I'm revisiting the dad emails starting with the great american novel (it truly is, and you can quote me in the re release :-)). This is truly a study of a man who thinks he's clever but is not at all. A tragedy that's universal on so many levels. Too many tricks and no true magic.
