So I was listening to another podcast earlier and this guy has a widget for Amazon.com check it out here Best of the Left Podcast it's towards the top on the right

Basically, if you shop on Amazon using the widget, the owner of the podcast with the widget gets 7-8% of whatever you buy at no extra cost to you.

So if KatG got a Amazon widget like that and everyone here did their Amazon shopping through the KatG Amazon widget, Keith and Chemda would get 7-8% of whatever we buy.

Myself as a college student/ half time parent/ lampworker......... I spend quite a bit on books each term and Amazon is the way to go because I've had textbooks cost over $220. Each term I generally spend about $300 on textbooks, and I would have bought them through a KatG amazon widget, K and C would have received at least $20 from that single purchase each term from me alone.

So if Doug may be able to get this set up I think it would be a win-win for all of us.

Shit they could make even more off "what do we do now" buying this way as well!

Seem like a good idea to anyone else?

Can someone put up a Firefox search engine thingy for Amazon that'll automatically put in KATG's affiliate tag? I use that search bar thing all the time and the guy who made it must have made mad Hamiltons off me over the years. If I can replace it with KATG's, I'll totally do it.

What you're talking about is an amazon affiliate link. K & C would need to set that up themselves, but it's not a bad idea at all.

The point of the south park joke is step 2 is obscure. If step 2 is obvious, as in:

1.) Buy shares of Google
2.) ???
3.) PROFIT!

then it's not the south park joke at all. If you don't remember the context of the joke, it was in regards to internet companies who'd start bullshit businesses with no foreseeable way of making money and would promise profits.
