I wouldn't say that was true. The last album didn't sell very well at all and the guitarist left again cause he even thought it was a piece of shit album. They might be releasing a new album thinking it might be something new but they are going to releasing it to a world that has long moved on from Limp Bizkit.

I am even more surprised Fred Durst is still alive.

But yea, it's sickening just how many fans they have. The only time they were partially kinda a little decent was when Wes was in the band. He was a wasted talent in a band like that... not to say that his solo/side project shit is anything to write home about.

All i need to hear now is that Crazy Town are releasing new shit and i'll be looking for the tallest building in Newcastle.

The purist`s just dont like BM getting mainstream recognition, like alot of metal fans is I suppose.
Purists don't like Dimmu because they have gotten much weaker. The last one barely anyone talks about, and Death Cult was overly symphonic and not as biting as their previous releases.

Amon Amarth is getting mainstream recognition, and their fanbase is still right there, stalwart as ever, so let's not slander metal fans.

And I'd say if you can't enjoy a whole album of Carpathian Forest, Immortal, or Bathory, and a symphonic band is the best black metal you've heard, you're not a black metal fan.

But if we're posting vids, consider this a brief blast:

Angantyr - Tag Dig I Agt
Nargaroth - Und Ich Sah Sonn' Nimmer Heben
Amon Amarth - The Pursuit of Vikings
Wintersun - Sadness and Hate
Satantic Warmaster - Vampiric Tyrant

Behemoth - Decade of Therion
Turisas - To Holmgard and Beyond
Bloodbath - Eaten
Death - Crystal Mountain
Deströyer 666 - The Eternal Glory of War
Devildriver - Head On to Heartache
Eluveitie - Inis Mona
Mercyful Fate - The Oath
Týr - Regin Smiður
Falkenbach - As Long as Winds Will Blow
Finntroll - Nedgång
Horna - Musta Temppeli
King Diamond - Sleepless Nights
Korpiklaani - Happy Little Boozer
Mercenary - Redefine Me
Searing Meadow - Mirror of Irony

Wow, the tread caught on! Awsome!

@ Cretaceous Bob

You are right the I am not a big blackmetal fan at all, but being a metal head in norway you kind of take notice of these bands, and what happend here in the early 90`s. But Dimmu... Its like satanic "meatloaf" epic songs.. Wich is awsome! The symponic stuff and the wackey clean vocals from the bass player is probably why i love it.

Black Metal fashion, I dont know, its not that mutch more redicoulus than what any rapper tends to wear.

What about Austrian Death Machine?
As I lay dying singers onemanband.
Arnold Metal?
YouTube - Austrian Death Machine - I Am A Cybernetic Organism, Living
This is only the music no video.

What the fuck? How do people keep hearing about Austrian Death Machine? Apparently if you're a super talented guitar player from Finland no one could give any less of a shit, but throw in some Ahnold clips and crappy Ahnold imitations and BOOM! instant success.

Ist not that we dont give a shit, but its cool fun music with a musician from another band that are pretty good..No one in this thread has mentioned them so I thought it would be fun for anyone that has missed it. Did not mean to ruin your day. Finntroll is pretty good by the way, forgot about them..

Anything else I should refrain from posting?

Just found this is an attempt to find a new Thrash/Death metal band to obsess over. It's sad to say, i was drawn to these guys by their awesome T-shirts.

Aborted - The Chondrin Enigma

Edit: I've just been checking out a site of different bands and, as you'd expect, they separate the band into a genre. These are the genres they have;

- Breakcore
- Death Metal
- Deathcore
- Emocore
- Grindcore
- Hardcore
- Jazz
- Latin Metalcore
- Mathcore
- Melodic Death Metal
- Melodic Metalcore
- Metal
- Metalcore
- Moshcore
- Post-Hardcore
- Progressive Deathcore
- Progressive Metalcore
- Russian Metalcore
- Screamo
- Technical Metalcore
- Thrash Metal

What the fuck ever happened to just Black Metal, Death Metal, Metal and Hard Rock? Why does everything have to be a type of "core" now? Made me laugh how they slipped Jazz in there though.

Mudvayne were apparently Mathcore, the good Mudvayne back in the LD.50 days. I think they're.. um... shitcore now.

From wiki;

Mathcore

Mathcore (also known as technical metalcore, progressive metalcore, or noisecore) is a rhythmically complex and dissonant style of metalcore. Mathcore has its roots in bands like Converge,[1] Botch,[2][3] and the Dillinger Escape Plan.[4] The term mathcore is suggested by analogy with math rock. Both math rock and mathcore make use of unusual time signatures. Math rock groups such as Slint, Don Caballero, Shellac, and Drive Like Jehu have some influence on mathcore, though mathcore is more closely related to extreme metal. Prominent mathcore groups have been associated with grindcore.

Weird, i've always described bands like Dillinger Escape Plan as "fucked up carnival music". Mr Bungle was big on that crazy clown music. I guess i'll have to correct myself now to refer to it as "Fucked Up Carnival Music-core".
