Basically any high populated state requires a 10 round limit anyways. California is the exact way.

The problem with New York is that my area of New York (an 8 hour drive from the city, average town population of probably less than ten thousand) has rules dictated in part by the city's "proximity". Every county has their own gun laws, and some counties are more lenient than others, but just about all of them are more strict than they should be. It's funny, too, because I'm way closer to Vermont (about an hour), and they have probably the loosest pistol laws in the country.
