my job pretty much sucks, i've been doing it for 9 years now. I have 3 more classes until I have my MSW then hopefully I can find better employment. I'm going through a bunch of crap with my company right now which totally sucks.

Here's another shitty thing about my job...

My closest friend at work got called into "the office" by her supervisor. She said that there was some time that wasn't accounted for on her make up time on Saturday. An hour and 40 min. So without even asking her they decided to give her an occurance, make her take vacation for 1 hour 40 min, never let her work saturdays again, and tell her she can't finish training for her job until everyone else is done training. It's bullshit because this girl I'm friends with has amazing stats. Always meeting "productivty" demands and not making a single error for over a month. She never gets warnings on anything. She sat at work crying all day. Stupid bitch cunt of a supervisor she has and the manager that approved all this is worthless also.

The great thing about shitty jobs, is that you can quit them.

the only thing I hate about my field is how unstable it is (I'm an animator btw) maybe time to look into being a video game animator at least they get benefits

other than that I draw for a living so I really can't complain :P

I could quit my job, but there is a 2 year wait on Houseing assistance in my city and I can't wait for that to come up when I already have a job right now.

I've been unhappy at all of my jobs, and I've had A LOT of them. I finally went back to school and got a diploma and now I've got my dream job... I'm a digital lab technician (photo retoucher/photographer) I airbrush pictures of hot naked ladies all day in an air conditioned mansion. I have the coolest boss in the world and I pretty much work when I want. Besides it not being the greatest pay I should have nothing to complain about however, I'm still not satisfied and I don't know why.

Maybe it's because i'm still living the childhood dream of becoming a rock star.

No one will ever be one babillion percent satisfied with their jobs. There will always be something to loathe about them. Even the jobs that seem perfect will have some flaw in them. I guess the trick is to continue to find those one or two things about them that make it worth getting up and going, even if it means those one or two things are just being employed in this economy. For me, it's not having a commute while I get my 2nd bachelor's degree, and having my own office to play around in as much as I want.

This is so true. I hear coworkers complain nonstop about our place of work and it gets quite hard to listen to after a while. Many of them are joining this job right out of school and have had little to no experience in the working world. They don't even realize how good they have it. I busted my ass all day at a warehouse job all through high school and college, so the position I have now is a fucking cakewalk in comparison. Sure, it's not always fun and it's not always perfect... but if I ever have a bad day I just think back to 5 years ago when I was driving a forklift, packing shit on pallets by hand and loading trucks in incredibly muggy 100 degree weather.
