Anyone of you guys internet marketing gurus?
Ok,
First, let me say I'm a long time listener, frequent forum troller here here (just so no one thinks I'm trying to spam or anything of the sort). So I have this celebrity news social network (link in my sig) that I've been trying to grow for a while. Anyways, it seems impossible to have people join. I think it's a pretty decent service, but I just can't get it to take off. I don't have any money to pay some to market it for me (broke student here), and very soon I wont even have enough money to host it if I don't start making any money off it. Any tips? Anyone interested in helping me out? I'm obviously not a pro here and this is my first foray into something like this. C'mon KATGers, I know you are a nice bunch, help a brother out. Thanks in advance! |
You MUST go to Web Design, Mobile Development, Server Solutions & More - Everything Solution: A Full Cycle Development Shop - Everything Solution: A Full Cycle Development Shop
It's the new side that Michael (Chemda's genius internet entrepreneur brother) has built with Doug (the tech wizard teddy bear that creates the best promotional apps around). If i got it correctly, that's what the site's for, solving problems like yours. Or maybe it's about disposal of corpses (a la Mr Wolf) and i got it wrong... |

DJ Trashy,
It's supposed to be a news aggregator that pulls stories from selected sources a la showhype.com. But I guess you are right, I might need some unique content to get it to "take off". And Junkenstein, Yeah, sadly, I don't have much money left to afford any services. |
That doesn't even look like you did anything, that's just how sites look like when they get bought up by some random domain company. There's nothing coherent or useful there for anyone.

Think a real-time Digg without you having to post stories/links. You can determine to the people you follow what you find relevant. It's FAR from what you called it. Thanks for your feedback though. |
Are you sure you have the right link up?
Cause your site...is nothing like what you're saying. It sends me to "poppa.com" is that right? Also, while I'm no marketing guru. Use Facebook to your full advantage. Make a page for it, ask all your friends to add it...and ask them to tell others about it. Usually, if your friends know it's a "Thing" of yours..they'll add, just because they think it might help...but you should let them know it's yours first...or else they think you just want them to add some random shit. |
