Ari called out Jen Kirkman by name on his podcast a couple years ago for being a bitch ("the Jen Kirkmans of the world") and it turned into a thing. He has a problem with women and he's acknowledged that on his show, for what that's worth.

He did publicly bully this woman for being fat and annoying, and that's awful. That said, he didn't bully her about her arm or any of that other stuff she listed. He carefully separated the arm thing from everything else, like the car did.

Knowing him, he found her annoying because she's fat and he didn't care to find out anything else about her. So the whole thing boils down to her being fat, which is her choice. All of which is to say that while he might feel bad about using her name, I wouldn't expect an apology for the rest of it. Edit: He probably doesn't feel bad. I'm guessing he used her name before doing the bit in the special. If he never used her name until he was on TV, that's even worse.

It doesn't do anyone any good to conflate obesity with real disabilities. The entire second half of that video is ridiculous. A roast battle might have been worthwhile.

There's just a general undertone of dismissiveness and disrespect towards women that's come out in his podcast, and like I said, at one point a couple years ago he acknowledged a problem with "misogyny". Everything we're talking about is old news, so it'd be great if you had him on the show to talk about it. He could be a changed man.
