To Bern or Not to Bern

We all know how influential KATG is and Bernie seems to be the KATG Kandidate, so I thought I should post about some stuff I've been seeing come up on my timeline regarding the old coot.

It seems like some of his policies (re: bank reform) are a little half-baked, while others (re: free trade) could end up hurting the world's poor and even creating further distrust/animosity with nations such as China. The general critique of Bernie is that he has a lot of talking points, but there's not much thinking behind them.

As much as I don't like Hillary, I like her a hell of a lot more than any Republican. Not to mention I took the quiz at ISideWith.com and I agree 95% with Bernie and 94% with Hillary; that's pretty damn close! So close that I would extrapolate that their politics must be very similar. I mean, how can I agree 1% off from them if their politics are radically different? Therefore, for all her smugness, her "old-school-politics" flip-flopping (changing her stance on Gay marriage as public opinion changes), and as vomitous as her coughing spells are, maybe she's a better candidate? Idealism is great but as left-leaning as I am, I feel that a lot of people on the left have all these 'radical ideas' but little follow-through or little thought as to the ramifications of implementing their ideas. It reminds me of The Simpsons episode with the "Do What You Feel" Day where the stage collapses because the carpenter didn't feel like doing a thorough job of building it.

As this article points out, there's been years of smear campaigns against Hillary by the right. Makes sense, she's been at the forefront of American politics for decades. Also as the article points out, non-white voters seem to be very pro-Hillary; maybe they can see through the BS/the "scandals" that get hyped up in the press?

Anyway, I'm Canadian so it's not like I'll be voting. I just wanted to make sure you Yanks had good information. Also, please prove me wrong. I like Bernie, it just seems like he's a little "hollow" from what I've been reading recently.
