CA's ban on gay marriage overturned

Judge overturns Calif. gay marriage ban - U.S. news - Life - msnbc.com

A federal judge ruled the ban on gay marriage violated 14th Amendment due process and equal protection rights. Churches got irritated, while everyone else seemed to celebrate.

Funny how so many people celebrated the overturn considering the ban was voted on by the people in the first place.

Ummm... gay marriage was made legal by voters in the first place! THEN banned with much support from the MORMONS later. Love thy neighbor right?

I think the majority of the people who voted on it were confused by the wording, so the majority might have thought they were doing a good thing.

I hope this overturn gets overturned again so that they can fight it all the way up to the supreme court, and finally kill the argument for good.

This overturning shit is ridiculous, but I guess anybody who didn't expect the Mormon contingent to fight to the death has never tried to get one of those fuckers off their doorstep.

Hah, the one way to never get a thing solved is kick it to the Supreme Court. If they can't avoid it, they'll make a bullshit ruling that SPECIFICALLY SAYS they're avoiding the contentious part of the matter (see: Roe vs Wade).
