I would love to go camping in the Pacific Northwest! Especially by the beach.

I kinda wanna go back. There’s these great hot springs in Olympic National Forest, at the top of Washington state. It’s really neat. Everything is ridiculously green and lush.

It’s the closest thing to a jungle I’ve experienced.

Where’s your favorite spot to camp? We usually just go to Idaho.

Central Texas has some cool places. Hill country is pretty green with lakes and rivers. In a couple of months we plan on camping at the gulf on a beach. Hope it works out.

I not a fan of camping - running water, beds and electricity are pretty damn awesome.

That said - I do camp once or twice a year because I like to go to music festivals and that often means camping is necessary.
Retired my old tent after 6 years so I hope this new one will keep me cozy during Rock am Ring in 2 weeks:

Pop up tent.

I bought one off season for £10 down from £80. Expecting it to last me 1 or 2 camping trips, it’s been to about 20 so far. Takes me literally 10 seconds to erect, unzip the bag and throw it out (As the name suggests it pops out)
If theres not much wind don’t even need to peg it down just throw pillows and sheets in and your good. Get the beers out and watch the fools with their poles.

Camping

I'm off camping tomorrow night, its been unseasonably hot and dry here in North West England, of course a weather warning has been issued for heavy rain but as we are camping by a river below some hills I'm sure we'll be fine.

Thumbs up

My tent survived a heavy thunderstorm and hours of rain last night - very happy with that purchase:

☔️

Well it rained for 16 of the 20 hrs I went camping. Commenced heavy drinking as soon as I arrived. Drove home early in wet clothes, no shoes cause my boots were full of water and a cracking hangover.

All the time safe in the knowledge just five hours plane flight away, sensible people are lying on sun loungers, staring up at azure blue skies whilst sipping cold lager in an iced glasses, occasionally cooling off in the clear ocean.

I like how this tent has a vestibule/ mini-hallway. Those things save the team on rainy days when you gotta get outta wet clothes / keep actual tent dry.

Hey Lanfear, how was that festival? The lineup looks awesome. Did you get to see Gorillaz? What was your favorite show?

Again was camping this weekend. Threw the tent out and bam it was ready. Setup my camping chair and I bought a pop up gazebo as well less than 10 minutes and my whole campsite was ready with very little stress.
My tent has served me very well for years, never lets me down.
