Problems with the RSS feed?

I've made some recent chagnes to the RSS feed that have caused some people to have problems getting updates of the show. I believe all problems have been solved but I want to be sure.

If you're currently having a problem with the feed, please let me know so I can fix the source.

Please tell me:
What program you're using and it's version.
Any error number or message.
What was the last episode you were able to download.

I'm using iTunes 10.2.2 (10)

"There was a problem downloading "Keith and The Girl". An unknown error occurred (8006)." Please check that the URL is correct and the connection to the network is active and try again."

The last episode I downloaded was 1381: Take This Poll

I was only having problems with http://www.keithandthegirl.com/rss/full, but I just subscribed through iTunes (http://www.keithandthegirl.com/rss/) and I'm able to download all shows 1-1383. I thought iTunes only had recent episodes, but I guess that has changed? As long as the regular feed will remain that way I'm fine without /full, but if it won't please let me know.

I'm using iTunes 10.2.2 (12) as was getting the same error:

"There was a problem downloading "Keith and The Girl". An unknown error occurred (8006)." Please check that the URL is correct and the connection to the network is active and try again."

I was also getting stuck after episode 1381

I tried a few other suggestions in the other threads and nothing worked. I finally saw the post from IWriteThings and just deleted my old subscription, researched for "keith and the girl" under podcasts. After I re-subscribed I can now get all of the new episodes.

Same issue

I was getting the exact same issue as Vrexx. I just did the same unsubscribed and then resubscribed and in itunes and that fixed the issue.

iTunes and it just puts the little grey exclamation point when I try to update. 1381 is the last show it downloaded.

- iTunes Win64 10.2.1.1
- I was on show 1378 (I'm behind because I often leave iTunes shut down; get most episodes via Podcaster app on iphone.)
- I see the 8006 error
- unsubscribe/resubscribe fixed it.
- You can recreate the error on my machine by subscribing to
HTML Code:
http://www.keithandthegirl.com/RSS/Default.aspx
in iTunes.

- I did a packet capture of a "bad" session and I see iTunes requesting
HTML Code:
http://www.keithandthegirl.com/RSS/Default.aspx
The server responds with:
HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
Location: /rss/

..but I never see a second request coming from the client. Firefox follows the redirect fine so I'm pretty sure this is iTunes not behaving like it should. This isn't my area of expertise, but I found some interesting info here:
Apple - iTunes - Podcasts - Changing feed URL

I don't think I see the <itunes:new-feed-url> directive in the feed's XML.. maybe that's what's up?

Problem solved. I don't know why iTunes was having trouble with the redirect so I just duplicated the code on the old page.

iTunes should automatically retry the feed and download the episode within 4 hours. If you're still seeing the error message after 4 hours, please let me know.

You can manually fix the error by right clicking the podcast and selecting "Update Podcast" from the context menu.

THANK YOU everyone for reporting this and helping me get to the bottom of it!

Yeah, it's fixed. Including downloading all of the old episodes whether they were already in my library or not.

Did you have to do anything to make it work or did it kick in on its own.

I did nothing. I might not have noticed if I didn't see it downloading episode 1000-something. I'm glad I noticed, otherwise it would have copied all of those episodes onto my iPhone.
