What was up with that scene when Guinan (Whoopi) told Diana it wasn't "rape rape"?

Avoiding most of this thread until I've seen more of the show, but quarantine times finally pushed me into watching a whole season of TNG in less than a week. Started with the second season on a recommendation from a friend. It's corny, preposterous, full of horrible decision making (Picard really should've lost his ship the second or third time they came within two seconds getting blown up, but he gets a long leash I guess). And I can't stop watching.

Favorite characters - Deanna Troi and Worf, seriously Worf friggin rules, give him command already.

Just watched TNG season 5 episode 5 Disaster, such a good one. Worf delivers a baby, Data takes off his head, Picard in an elevator shaft, Geordi and Crusher taking on some mild radiation poisoning, Troi gets to be captain for five minutes. Ooo and they threaten to detach the disk from the rest of the ship, that has to be in a drinking game for this show.

I've started calling it "Law Trek" because every other episode ends in a court trial/treaty negotiation.

Star Trek Podcast

Hey KATG Trekkies! If you'll forgive the plug, me and my friend Anne have a Star Trek podcast. We're saving fans an Enterprise rewatch, or it's a regular watch/review show, not sure. Anyway it's called Star Trek Stuff and I'd love for KATG trekkies to subscribe. Thanks!

I envy you having it on Netflix; in the States we have to pay extra for CBS All Access. I like Discovery, and it steadily gets better.

Oh, I didn’t know I ever went that way for us Europeans. Yes, a new episode every Friday.
Star Trek is the thing where my and Mr. Apia’s taste organically meet the best.
We would both watch it alone, if the other one didn’t like it.

Lower Decks is amazing, but you need to have a good run through of the entire franchise to get the jokes sometimes. Disco and Picard were both super disappointing, so Lower Decks is a nice reprieve.
