Ack, I just finished watehing Dirty Harry 1,2,3,4 & 5

1 was quite ok, I liked it.
2, good, I enjoyed it. a reasonable thriller.
3, fucking shite. awful.
4. no ,no, Clint you directed too, you must have loved this. argh.\
5, omg fuck no, this is so awful. luckily I had a bbq interupt. but on finishing - fucking dreadful.
Very Rodger Moore.

Why is Clint considered a star, what movies made him so famous that he isn't mocked openly?

Please tell me the films which show his best quality acting.

I've never found his films too impressive. Million dollar baby wasn't bad, but would have been better without him in it.

Agreed, his fake grizzly voice in that flick was Dark Knight bad.

I don't think that a fake grizzled voice... I think all the years of sucking down sand and smoke on the set have caught up with him. Every time he's on screen now it sounds like he just got done gargling gravel.

I've liked many of his movies, including Gran Torino, though i think I enjoy his directing a bit more than his acting these days.
