coulinary help please
i'm supposed to bring a primarily bean dish to my family christmas gathering.
green beans and baked beans are being brought by someone else. so, could someone please give me a recipe for some type of bean dish that is not green beans or baked beans? this will be my first time bringing something for a family gathering so i want to be impressive. plus, if i bring something that looks challenging to make, they won't force me to peel potatos and shit like that. |

that just shows my complete lack familiarity with this subject. lol
i don't think chili would be a good fit for this family gathering. that being said, i fuckin love good chili. so, yes i do want the recipe anyway. |

White bean pasta
5 quart Water 1/2 lbs pasta, smaller the better 2 Tsp salt 2 16oz can white beans white beans drained, I suggest the pinto 2 Tsp Olive Oil 2 Tsp butter 2 tsp chopped fresh rosemary 1 very large onions sliced paper thin freshly ground black pepper Bring water to boil, add pasta and salt. Cook over high heat for about 6 minutes then add beans. Then over medium heat in a skillet you warm the oil and butter then add the rosemary and the onions, cook onions for about 10 minutes or until browned. When the pasta is done you drain it and serve into a warmed serving bowl add onions and stir around. Let it cool a bit and serve. Get some parmesan cheese with it and if you have a culinary inclined family they will appreciate an understated rosemary dish. |
