I didn't know a "quarter-life crisis" was actually a thing written about out there, although I definitely felt one a few years ago. I thought I was clever when I described it to my brother as such. Took a semester off from school, and seeing how I would probably live without a degree pretty much scared me straight. Undergrad is boooorrrrinnnnnggg.

Has anyone shared a place with a tranny (transgendered woman, whatever that means). Assuming no personal/religious issues with the GLBT crowd, is that just asking for a bag of emotional issues, or are Ts generally cool?

Only in New York obviously.

Back from a week at the Mayo and the lovely DaH's. Lots and lots to process and take in and all, but this has been by far the best most important medical week in my life.

Thanks all that shared and supported. I'm going back to rest now. <3

I haven't shared an apartment with any transwomen, but I have some friends who are transwomen. Overall, I'd say that they are just as stable as the next person. It's probably just because I'm a huge nerd, all of the transwomen I know are massive nerds, so they play D and D and are super into computers, and generally have high IQs.

I've heard from my transwoman friends about crazy transwomen they know in the community, but I've never met those people.

I think the trans community just like any other subjugated community. For it's size, there are a lot more visibly unstable people because they're the ones in the news etc. But there are many transpeople who are totally normal.

Also: If you're sharing a place with her, you're going to want to really super avoid the tranny word.

Lol, you think I could get tricked?

Anyway, I think I found a different place, so I won't have to ask to see this one.

What do you mean tricked? No, transwomen in general hate the word tranny. They regard it as a slur.

Oh, I just realized what you wrote. I kept reading it as "you'll want to really super avoid the tranny world"

I don't know if there really is a tranny world.
