David Blaine Massive Fail

So the stunt was to hang upside down for 3 days and then do a 44 foot jump of death at the end. Turns out he gets to stand up for 10 mins every hour to be checked by a doctor. Apparently crowds booed at this. Then the big finale. I have no idea what was meant to happen but something goes wrong and it ends with him swinging by a harness 5 foot of the ground before being lifted away by balloons to booing from the crowd.

I saw it last night and it was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. He did jump, suspended from a cord, the lights flickered and went out and *poof* he disappeared. They didn't say he was going to bungee 44 feet and disappear it said DEATH DIVE, dammit I wanted to see him dive to his death!

Did you go to Central Park to see it live or watch it on television? Apparently, they cut it to show him 'disappear' on TV, but if you watch the Youtube video I posted, he just hangs there in front of the crowd, being booed. Something went wrong.

ooohh i saw it on tv land where nothing is real! I'll check it out even though I think he's a big douche who should just go away! Thanks.

Watched it, that's funny especially the lady going he didn't disappear, he over there. lolz. What an idiot!

I assume that flash was supposed to be longer so you couldn't see him be lifted away. Not only did it fail, it suspended him in front of the crowd for them to boo him. Delicious fail.

so speculation but it seems funny towards the end of the clip around 5:22 when the PA's are talking to the host, they look like they are telling him what happened and then they point to where the balloons are. Looks like they are saying, "yeah he is there. over there." too lame and funny.

Yea that was fucking ridiculous. On TV he just started floating up after he jumped and they kept announcing that he is just floating away. All they had to do was fucking pan the cameras up.
