DC or Marvel?
I was at the used book store with my family the other day, and my son and I were browsing through the comic books. It was a 2 sided display, one side was DC and one side was Marvel. I gravitated towards the Marvel section as I tend to enjoy and be more familiar with the characters. So KATG comic book fans my question to you is DC or Marvel and why. Discuss...

Marvel has X-Men, XCalibur, Spiderman, The Hulk, etc.
DC has Batman and Superman, classics, but I never got into the comics. I think the older generation appreciates DC more. If anything Image comics was the only one that stood a chance against Marvel for me. With Spawn, Night Thrasher, etc. |

I don't read comics so I only know these from the cartoons from the 90s and beyond. I'm going with DC because of Batman the Animated Series and Justice League were phenomenal. I find DC more dark and serious whereas Marvel is just cartoonish and childish.

I worked at a comic book store, so obviously I've been asked this question before.
I say, fuck them both. Read old Mad instead, like me. Actually,I never said that. I'd guess I have to go with Marvel because I loved the X-Men and Spiderman and all their respected(?) spin-offs before I discovered Robert Crumb. Hands down DC had the better cartoons. |
