Do the Top posters keep the new poster out

I know i post way to much around here. (ask my wife)

But I want to know it the top 20+ posters keep the New members from typing a post. Give me a few reasons to why you don't post more often.

It's common for online forums to have a few hardcore people that just don't leave them, and others that check in and read, and will post when something seems worth it.

Because every single thought I have... you take. It's like you're reading my mind, dude. It's freaking me out!

Because I'm too stupid to come up with something intelligent to say, so I sit here humbled by the almighty (MG).

Because...

On a more serious note, I think that with all your posting it should give people more opportunity to post, not less. I often read the forums and have nothing to say, until one of the top 20 posters has posted something that I find interesting or stupid and I must reply.

Stjoe pretty much answered the question. The more posts there are, the more opportunities there are for someone to respond. Also, it may take some time for other people to get used to the way this forum operates; jokes, fun, or whatever.

Basically, just don't stop posting and everything will be fine.

I thought this was a "Do the Top posters want to keep the new posters out" thread.

Not that I would, mind you... Not that I've thought about it... We were all under 500 posts once...

Where's Nick?!

Now I feel guilty for giving others "post anxiety", thanks a lot.

I'm a mod for two other forums, so I am familiar with the "Guy with no life who lives on the board and has an insane post count" Syndrome. I don't post that often because..........

I have no excuse. I apologize.

Oh yeah? This "guy", does his name happen to start with an M, rhyme with 'cycle' and have a G tacked on the end?
