Drugging for Creativity

So I was listening to TTSWD, ( and just a little yet lengthy side note/ obnoxious tangent/ of a KATG VIP observation here) let us all, collectively, as hardcore KATG fans get real here. We all listen to KATG spin-offs. We crave KATG - at all times. Some spin-offs claim "Best Spin-off Ever Done." This is both ridiculous and impossible.

Now. Did most of us assume Danny was some weirdo half-a-fag in love with Keith with no discernible contribution to KATG in sight? Answer: of course.

Our biggest problem with Danny Hatch was, "Where does he fit into KATG universe? Two years later we realize Danny might be the biggest pimp to ever exist - in the pimp game. This cat is down to fuck. Who knows?? Your pussy or asshole might be next. Only a KATG week knows for sure...

Ahem. I digress.

So I was listening to TTSWD, (greatest spin-off ever, you're a fool to even suggest otherwise) and I was listening to him contemplate the merits of drug use. Young Danny was of the mind that experiencing drugs might further creativity or be necessary. He declared this after making a very correct assessment of 'The Beat Generation.' Jack Kerouac was a shit failed alcoholic and Allen Ginsberg was a brilliant poet. All possible collegiate points and high fives to Danny. Well done.

Anyways.

I'm a long time degenerate drug user. I'm not one to say no one should ever not do drugs because I do think certain drugs are desirable. Hallucinogens like mushrooms, LSD, MDMA, and even the short-lived Salvia smoke allow the brain to operate on a different level. This is temporary and should be regarded as such. TEMPORARY.

I'm posting this because announcing "Maybe this will enhance me!" It is a cry from a creative and perfectionist brain. Relax. You are just as funny and interesting and most importantly: amazing as possible. There is no 'if I just did this' answer to comedy. Doug Stanhope, (possibly one of the Greats) has convinced himself the funny only comes whilst drunk.) This is sad when you realize he's super funny; he just has social anxiety.

This is longer than I meant it to be but I'm adding a poll. Most comedian, (and comedy fans) are recreational drug users. I am of the mind that we do so because we expect MORE. We look at this shit life and expect: MORE. Some take drugs. Some find religion.

I've explored all avenues drug wise. It's never enhanced life the way I thought it would. POOF. You're an animal. An animal that realizes impending doom. Just like the rest of us.

To be clear. I think Danny is an incredibly talented comedian. His show is my most favorite.

It's silly to think he needs to be more or less. His comedy comes from his DNA. It is my opinion that he shouldn't worry about it...

...Unless that makes him more nervous and uncomfortable. In which case, another brilliant monologue is produced.

It's scary how many opiate pills are out there. Kids don't know they're essentially taking TWO powerful downers, (alcohol and synthetic heroin) when they drink and pop pills. This puts your breathing and heart beat, ( which is normally automatic) right to sleep. Then you die. Probably in the most peaceful way possible though..?

Remember Looper? Where the hell are those eye-dropper drugs?? They look so modern and fun.
