Okay, so we are in the top 16 (I think)

now are we just gonna have a straight up 8 & 8 bracket to the final match. (and does soccer do that ridiculous 7 games series thing for the championship, or do they have a winner take all finale like real football.)

USA ALL THE WAY

Also, I am officially starting a petition. When America wins the world cup, the international community will have to officially change the name of the sport to Soccer and finally end that stupid ass "You know...in the rest of the world Soccer is actually called Football." bullshit.

Fuck yeah, that was great drama in the closing minutes of that game. USA first in the group and England second was the right way to finish too. England may have some better individual players but the USA boys are still really good and overall are a better team playing with a real fighting spirit and scoring more goals and scoring better goals than England. As long as there's time on the clock they just never quit and never stopped battling and in the end broke through for victory.

Lippi was a dumb cunt and filled the squad ass kissers over talent. The entire under 21 squad could have done better. On to the back up plan. Go Brazil!

Reactions to the USA goal around the US (and at the game)...

USA World Cup Goal: Amazing Reactions To Landon Donovan Game-Winner (VIDEOS)

Love how every one of them ends up with them doing the U! S! A! U! S! A! chant

The one in San Antonio with Andrés Cantor as the announcer was good. Three sustained "GOALLLLL's"

Another video (most of these are the same from the link you posted but with home vids; look for the kid on the stairs @ 3:30):

You know the movie 300? The battle of Thermopylae?

That shit is a game of tic tac toe compared to the way New Zealand emerged from the tournament undefeated. We were in a group with the defending champions and the South American team that placed only a single point behind Brazil in qualifying. Not only could neither team beat New Zealand, a tiny footballing nation, the most isolated on the planet, but the goals each side scored against us were both dubious.

New Zealand. Small, isolated, but with hearts big enough to destroy giants.

We are magnificent bastards.

Now if only they could score more than one goal every three matches.
