pretty good wrap up I appreciated seeing the old school centurions in the battle and hearing the old school melody in the scene as the fleet is flown into the sun.

Agreed I would have been content w/o the last vignette.

...I think the words "Holy frakking shit" comes to mind.

Kind-of disapointed that the visions were never more fully explained, but I see where they were going--if it is a higher power, then why should they know more than we do?

Overall, awesome finale.

The final vignette itself isn't necessarily the issue. I'm fine with a coda. I just want to create some sort of "DaveNJ's Cut" where they keep the Baltar/Six conversation without cutting to silly fucking robots. I don't need to see those in the middle of a serious discussion about the nature of life and humanity's purpose. I can infer already that we have robots. Maybe it'll be relevant 50 years from now depending on advances in robotics, but at present it's just out of place.

As for complaints about deus ex machina, this show has been about humans and machines who can see angels and visions. How was there ever not going to be a deus ex machina? This has been in the works for years.

They do look silly, but notice that they got progressively more and more human like? Just sayin'.

I agree, the last few seconds were a bit off putting. A bit forced and preachy.

Oh I get it, but it could have been achieved without showing the progression. Any viewer capable of understanding the show understands that robots exist in some form in modern society. It was just shoddy, being silly in an otherwise incredibly serious moment.

Baltar's "farming" line a few minutes previous made up for it, though.

it explains the missing link between cromagnon and neanderthal nicely. but at a certain point i was reminded of the matrix, specifically the parts about the architect and stuff.
loved it. im going to watch the battle scenes again.

did anyone think that when the 5 reached into the tub "wow, hes going to get the best hand job ever" or was that just me?

^^that was the head six, and the head baltar, who I believe were more of a greek chorus than literal. It was definitely not the literal caprica six and baltar.
