Season Two is split so far apart because American Idol is the juggernaut of this millennia.

One good thing about having the break now is that after these nine episodes it will probably only be a few months until season 2. I sure hope they get a second season.

They'll get a second season. It's the biggest show of the year, so unless they start going overboard on the budget next year, with lower ratings, I think they have 3 seasons in the bag at least. Much like Heroes and Lost, they've got critical praise and ratings, but unlike those shows, they have cds to sell also. I think before we see the show get canceled (like Fox tries to do) they'll treat it more like American Idol and SYTYCD and run it till the wheels fall off.
