Okay, so my female freind gave me a dildo as a gift. And not in any bachlorette party or otherwise gag-gift context, as far as I can tell. She...straight out thought I needed a dildo? What? Am I right in thinking that's a personal investment, not a gift at all? And it's way too big for me...so now I feel like she called me a slut or something? I mean I guess the label could fit me from a certain point of view, but I can't see how she got the idea I was a size queen.

I must have made a face when I opened it, as she then claimed it was her husband's idea. And my first though was it was regifted...ew...

But I'm right to be weirded out, right?

Depending on the friend, it wouldn't bother me. If you have the kind of relationship that is sexually frank, then I don't see why you're surprised. But if you don't talk to her about your sex life (or sex in general) like that, then yeah, you should be weirded out.

At any rate, I'll take it. I've never understood the fascination with dildos.

Wouldn't bother me personally. How big was it? Some people don't need an excuse for a gag gift.

For use on a vagina, a dildo needs to be quite a bit bigger than the biggest dick you can take so that you can use the extra mass as leverage. Maybe she didn't translate her measurements from vagine to ass.

Thanks guys, and especially Marina, as always We are sexually frank, but not explicit for the most part. And last time she, her husband, and me smoked up together I think I was playing with an elbow-length rubber glove and talking about fisting... So I can see where this idea might have come from that on the one hand (hehe), but I think I shall clarify the vag-ass conversion ratio for her. And I now consider this the single greatest failure in the American education system. It should be within the curriculum on metric. Just saying.
