Happy New Year! Any resolutions?

Hope everyone's first day of 2022 is going well so far.

Have you thought of New Year's Resolutions?

For 2022, I'd like to add:

- Practicing playing guitar via Yousician most days. (Just did my first practice of the year. Very awkward and very satisfying.)
- Start a blog for OMAT (I have a bunch of stuff written out. I plan on organizing it and sharing it midyear.)
- See dance shows (I want to watch mostly Modern Dance and a variety of other genres as well. This will likely be virtual. If you know of any let me know.)

I'm still thinking but that's what I have for now.

I would like to read more for fun. Last year I didn’t read a lot of books and I miss it. It calms me down with the right book.

What did you read in 2021?

Studies for work
Indoor Design blogs

And in books at least some science fiction.
I enjoy it a lot but it has to be "modern"
The old stuff is often like:
Yes we have time travel and multi dimensions.
But women or people of color as protagonists or in some important roles? No, that's too much.

The last book I finished yesterday was " far from the light of heaven"
It's about a crime on a space ship that travels for 10 years and where everyone should be in hibernation.

still a little burned out from the entire world fundamentally changing again and the surprise January heat and humidity. maybe a short term goal, like, having a Chicago style hot dog.

For years I've wanted to quit smoking and learn how to sail. Quit smoking last year so I guess it's sailing this year. Whoo Hoo!

New Years

I feel like this year I will have no resolutions. I feel when I make them, my subcon says hell no... I like tricking myself into healthy things .

If we are suggesting books... Surrounded by Psychopaths and Surrounded by Idiots both by Thomas Erikson is a great read and anything by Neil Gaiman.

Congrats on quitting smoking Friz!

Heck yes! This time last year I felt the same way so for 2021 I tried out out one of them real simple goal-setting apps that's basically just a calendar timeline and for each daily goal that you set you get a tick if you hit the goal each day and a cross if you don't, and the one goal I managed to hit every single day without fail was to read at least 15 minutes a day.

Currently reading Dune because apparently it's the greatest sci-fi novel ever and I'LL BE THE JUDGE OF THAT.

In 4 months it would've been 10 years since you signed up for the forums and this is your first post!

I don't get it but I like it.
