"Switch" seems like an easy out (I would probably sincerely choose that, myself) but I felt like it would ruin the fun.

I actually had the same problem before. I just used role playing to get there. So think of an interesting role that directly implies a specific power grab against you.

I.E. a Job interview with a dirty scenario of: "your being fired and he takes advantage of your desperation and you are not happily volunteering but also not saying no"
