1 mistake.

I see a couple problems with this test. First, all business correspondence expects 2 spaces after each period. Second, when you have to go back and correct your mistake (which your program requires you to), your true typing speed goes down.

I haven't even tried, but I can tell you right here. It's one or the other:

Real fast, with a lot of mistakes.
Real slow, but fucking PERFECT.

Would be cool if they actually mentioned how good you were.

I found this:
1.rarley use the computer - under 40 is OK
2.use the computer a lot but don't type whole documents - 50-70
3. Your day job is typing documents all day - over 100

(words per min)

I can get higher if I know what I'm typing before I begin to type it. My bottleneck is the reading. That said, I read at about 152 words per minute.

I never learned to type properly either. I think more or less living my life on the computer has served my typing speed well, though.
