I got a bike for my birthday in April, but it's only single speed and now I kinda want a mountain bike... wonder if I'm a two-bike bitch?

The thing about "annoyed not depressed" struck me because I realized through therapy that my anxiety and depression first start presenting as having a short temper and being annoyed. So keep an eye on that maybe?

Absolutely!
I am in online therapy and I talk about it on a regular basis.
It helps.

Yes I got a really cool, used mountain bike and Mr Apia and me are both using it.
On weekends one of us is with the kids, one gets to have bike time for 2 hours, and than we change roles.

It’s Friday evening here and I’m happy that it’s weekend time. So at least I still can feel good feelings.

So we are still in lockdown mode here. I have some days off ( if I don’t take them now, they go to waste, must take them in this year) but I can’t go anywhere and Mr Apia has to work.
Still it’s nice.

I should look up what your case statistics are in Germany. How do people in your community deal with a lockdown? Do they accept it and adjust, or are they shitbirds? We are not in lockdown here yet, there's no real restrictions, and the fact that it varies state by state means this isn't getting under control, due to American Exceptionalism.

In New Jersey, specifically, we have now surpassed the number of daily cases from the peak part of the early pandemic. The bright side is the deaths are a lot fewer, probably due to the fact that a lot of the truly vulnerable died early on in the pandemic, coupled with better treatment options that have developed over these past 9 months. New Jersey has had a mask mandate in public spaces since early on, right when it was discovered how this was transmitted. We have a very high population density in this state. Imagine in the lower density states, if these idiots would take masks seriously? In bumfuck places like Idaho or Montana they could have conceivably had no cases. This is what kills me.... that this is still going on with such ferocity because people are whiny little babies who can't be told to shut up and sit still.

So I'm still doing my thing here.... I work from home, I wear a mask in places, I don't get to see my friends or family. I'm getting weird(er), feeding the wildlife more... poured out some Cheerios for the deer yesterday. They also like peanutbutter pretzel nuggets. And tortilla chips. I ran out of carrots. Aside from the deer and turkey that go past my house, the birdfeeder is like a huge part of my daily entertainment now.

I am grateful I'm ok and healthy, and even if I'm really sick of this bullshit now, I'm not going to be a petulant scumbag about it and just pretend like it's not happening... going to keep doing my part as long as necessary for myself and for the good of those in the community.

Hm, that’s an interesting question.
I see people only during shopping for food or when I’m outside, with the dog or the kids.

In Supermarktes everyone is wearing their mask and I never see anyone behaving badly.
I don’t often engage in discussions on social media about Covid, because it’s mostly pointless.
Sometimes I see people saying completely stupid shit about the tests being falsely positive, I sometimes ask who they think is in the hospitals if everything is not so bad.
So obviously we have also idiots here.
My father in law is a problematic person anyway, he said some stupid shit about how bad it is that the restaurants are closed AND also in the same conversation that the vaccine can’t be good, because it’s here too early and that it’s only here to make big Pharma ( unfortunately not mine) big money. So he wants to live like before and who dies, dies basically. He didn’t tell me that, only Mr Apia, I can be a very unpleasant person and would tell him that he is 70 and has heart problems, so he has a great chance to die from Covid.

Luckily my parents are very sensible and behave.

The most vocal conspiracy idiots that get covid seem to not get it badly enough, no offense. I don't "wish they would die" but it's really annoying how fuckfaces like Trump, Guiliani, and idiot old men who contract it don't seem to have a bad time with it, leading them to write it off as "just a cold" or "no worse than the flu" and emboldening other idiots into acting recklessly.

We have more cases now than we had before.
I think it has a lot to do with the cold weather, spending time inside.
Almost 20 000 people died of covid here. When you adjust it to the population of the US it would be about 82 000.
You had 284 000 deaths as I have just seen.
So 3,4 times more.

There have been anti-mask protests in Germany. They were of fucking course right wing conspiracy nuts according to this BBC report a few months back. Recent protests are way worse. They're basically American levels of stupid.
