I was reading through dork of your other posts and it really seems like it’s been a challenging year for you Apia. I hope things improve in Germany for you soon. What’s the estimate on things changing? It’s so strange, I thought most places in the EU were way ahead of the curve.

They were. And we were fine until it came to the vaccine.
We are so late.

My by far biggest problem is work.
I used to really like my work because of all the freedom I had.
Now I have only few things I can do and its by my company not the law. My company has way more restrictions but still expects extraordinary results.
It's like if someone broke you legs and still expected you to run in record time.

I try to get an other job in the company, its theoretically possible and would be a major improvement.

People are posting about their side effects from the vaccines on social media, and it's discouraging some people from getting vaccinated. I just want to say that I've had no reaction to either shot apart from minor soreness. Feeling sick is not a guarantee at all! Please get your shots before more dangerous variants form!

Especially when you remember that a possible side effect of getting covid is dying. It occurs in 2-3 % or so.

ok I bitched about it a little on social media but I'm glad I got it. Feels really weird being the maskless fat guy waiting for restaurant pick up now. Like, do I wear a t-shirt saying "Yay Obesity?" ?

I can’t believe ist but now we have more first time vaccinated people here than in the US. ( 56,5% against 55%)
How strange. It was a pretty bad start in Germany but at least people want the vaccine as it seems.

Covid Confession time

The Delta variant is now raging across the unvaccinated population in the US and I have real trouble mustering up any sympathy. A pharmacist I know is having to throw away expiring vaccines while cases rise in my area, and his pharmacy isn't the only place having to do that. Thing is, most unvaxxed people now are anti-vaxxers so it's their own fault. I live in the deep South and the thought of there being fewer anti-science MAGAts due to their own willful ignorance isn't exactly breaking my heart. I feel bad about it; I don't want to be callous or hateful but these people hate me. They hate my gay and non-white friends. They'd deport the immigrants I know who are mired in the miserable immigration system, including the DACA kids in some cases.

I'm just so tired of these hateful people holding society down. If they're killing themselves I'm having a hard time not being stoked about it. Obviously though there are immunocompromised people that can't get vaccinated who are the real victims, and that's the actual tragedy.

Maybe this is an AITA.

Whoever decides to not vaccinated makes the decision that they don’t mind to die soon.
There is nothing we can do for them when they refuse. I don’t wish ill on anyone but also this is how it goes.
So I guess they are pro choice after all.

The only good thing about it is that most of the children born into science denying families will be fine. It’s the older people in most cases who cancel themselves.

I think it’s better here, we have now 61% of first vaccinations but there are some ignorant people everywhere.
Luckily no one in my family, everyone got it.
