They sure don't skimp on showing it either, he performs the surgery pretty early on in the film. They also have quite a nasty scene for the first time the Asian guy has to poop after the surgery.

just... wow... *GAG* when i first heard about this movie i swear to god, without even seeing the trailer i wanted to vomit. i love horror films, and this is just weird enough that part of me really wants to see it, but i would be sick. GAH

I have to say that i have seen my share of sick videos in my time from faces of death to japanese guro, and after watching this i did not even flinch i am officially one fucked up human being although i have to admit this is certainly a unique concept at least.

I agree. The idea is sick and weird but the execution is quite tame. Not really gross, more psychologically intense.

That actually makes it a better movie than it seems, since it focuses more on the humiliation of the victims and the psychosis of the doctor (never seen the guy before but he's impressive. Reminds me of Udo Kier) than the gross out stuff.

Again, if they did this movie in asia it would've been far worse.

Movies like the August Underground series or anything from Toe Tag (like the recent and unwatchable "Maskhead") are far more repulsive. That doesnt mean they're better, quite the opposite actually.
