Dubstep Thread!
Post your favorite Dubstep tracks so that we can all get some new tunes for our libraries.
This was the first Dubstep track I ever listened to. This was the first time watching someone dance to Dubstep. Its safe to say my mind was blown. |

I've been listening to quite a bit of dubstep while at work. Usually just the Pandora station, but I've got a bunch of Skrillex stuff too. I think my favorite track is
Although I have a cleaner version MP3 which I kind of like more. |

Always been a fan of Datsik, never seen that Nukem dance haha, that was badass. Here it is in full awesomeness.
Chrispy isn't bad too. Not a big fan of UKF but they're big. This linked one isn't bad. Last edited by unrealrob; 07-24-2011 at 10:16 AM. |

please purists dont get mad at me but im interested in discovering the dubstep genre, which i started listening with Vexed and Burial (which are both non traditional, im aware)
question is, was there ever any musician who couple the bass drop sound and distorted guitar samples, not on a remix? also any suggestion for some more dark, phat sounding dubstep? tried Borgore after a reccomendation but the "bad boy" attitude distracts me. looking for stuff in the vein of vex'd but poissibly even lower in the sound department. |

You want dirty Dubstep? Lehgo. This is a personal favorite of mine, I grew up listening to my father sing the lyrics not knowing what song it was...years later I heard it, it was Moody Blues, then about a month ago, I heard this. Mind was blown. If you listen to this one...and Borgore's "Nympho" right after without any sound gap between them, it makes for a really cool flow. Borgore's Nympho No Where To Run, the dude dancing had an influence my liking this song. I call this Chill Dubstep...same vein that the White Satin up there is in. Eyes on Fire WARP as you've probably never heard it before. Eastern Jam. When the drop hits...dirty dark heavy AF. Promices Chill Dubstep Hypnotize You More Chill Dubstep Changed the way you kissed me. Chillish Dubstep Oxygen. This song...I was at Grad Nite @ Disneyland. I was looking up at the Ferris Wheel with all the lights. I started to trip out without being on anything except this song. Hella Chill dubstep btw Ghosts n' Stuff Nero Remix. What can I say? Its Deadmau5's classic remixed by Nero. Pretty Chill as well And of course, Skrillex. Kill Everybody. Sounds like the Portal turret talking. Rock n' Roll (Will take you to the mountain). Just a fun song. Skrillex is so legit he went and remixed his already awesome song and made it even better. I know this stuff probably isn't anywhere near where you were asking Junkenstein...but, hopefully you find something you like. |

Depends if you're only after this new school hyper-active 'filthy' dubstep.
If you liked burial something else on the more minimal tip is Skream's self titled album. Shows you the roots of dubstep and is a great album. not 100% sure how to do youtube links on this forum so hopefully this works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNAC8APZymA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEmM6vVFrao http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8tFQy8_ECU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2XmLcnYSwQ http://www.youtube.com/embed/oOT2-OTebx0 Last edited by matt.bandit; 07-27-2011 at 04:56 AM. |

i know the Skream debut, think its one of the greatest albums in music history of any genre,
id actually love any reccomendation for the genre, including atmosèpheric stuff. anything someone who knows the genre thinks i should hear. the more music i have to check out the best i feel. i have no limitations on that. Last edited by Junkenstein; 07-25-2011 at 02:48 PM. |
