Do the High Line Park!! Face and I did it the last time I was in NY, about a month ago. He said he'd never seen those neighborhoods from those angles and he's been a New Yorker all his life. AND it's free! We entered at 14th St. and walked the whole thing down and back, it takes about an hour.
