My most common ones:
And if I want something on the lighter side: which is Mexico's version of Bud Light. I used to stay away from the top three, because they were too hoppy, too bitter, but I grew into them. Realized what a bunch of flavorless beers more dominating companies produced and made the switch. I enjoy microbreweries, so I try to hit up at least one whatever town I am in. In approximate order of frequency. Blue Moon for a clean taste, Bass for a taste that seems most beer-like to me, Hoegaarden for something interesting, Guinness for a dark beer, Dead Guy Ale because it tastes like honey. Also, why is Dead Guy Ale so expensive? It's $8 for a 22oz bottle around here (not sold in 6-packs), which would mean a 6-pack is $26, 3x the price of everything else. We have some tantalizing microbreweries in Colorado. I'm generally a stout girl.
Breckenridge Brewery's Oatmeal Stout Tommyknocker's in Idaho Springs. Their Black Powder Stout is award-winning for something or other, but there are no pictures online, so their Butthead is also great, a Dopplebock lager: Great Divide in Denver. They have the Hibernation Ale, an 8.7% beer that effectively fries my wits after two and a half, and if I drink four I black out. Left Hand Brewing CO in Longmont has an awesomely creamy milk stout because I love dessert. As for Wynkoop Brewery in Denver, the B3K (black lager) and Sagebrush (chocolate-espresso) are two delicious dark beers, but I can find no images other than the Flash icons on their site: Denver Microbrewery-Brew Pub | Award-winning Beers | Wynkoop Brewing Co. Hehehe I love these reviews people write: Butthead Doppelbock - Tommyknocker Brewery - BeerAdvocate ... "Carbonation is medium." "Mouthfeel is of thick and chewy malts." |
